A Fowlerville couple is living the sweet life after the Michigan Maple Syrup Association named the couple’s creation “best in show” for 2008.Art and Jan Currey, who run a 5,700-tap syrup farm in Charlevoix, got the honor for their dark amber variety of maple syrup, which also beat out the top winners in two other syrup divisions as well as in the maple cream and maple candy categories.
